A Jewel in the Heart of Darkness
If you get the chance to visit the Republic of Congo -- don't miss
the chance to spend a few nights at the Malonda Lodge located just
south of Pointe Noire. Malonda Lodge is truely an unexploited jewel
just waiting to sparkle!! Huts are situated on a hillside overlooking
the Atlantic Ocean -- each hut has a queen size bed, beautiful bathroom
with shower and air conditioning.
The common areas include a large dining hut and a separate bar/breakfast
hut. On that note -- the food here is AMAZING!! Ask which fish is
the freshest and go with it! The owners will likely be your waiters
and the chef is truely a gem.
The pool is beautiful -- a curvy masterpiece situated on top of
the hill overlooking the Atlantic. Bring your sunscreen!!!
Walk down the sculpted stairway to the beach to enjoy a swim in
the Atlantic -- the strong currents will test your strength so definitely
swim with care! If you venture onto the beach at night during the
right time of year, you may be luckly enough to spot sea turtles
nesting -- this is a very active turtle area. Also -- be wary of
leaving any of your belongings on the beach!! The locals like to
swipe sandals etc.......

Heaven in Africa, A very special place...
Malonda Lodge is truly a hidden gem...
The decor alone is worth the visit. The kindness, warmth and generosity
that we were shown made us feel like we were home and cared for
like family. The level of service is outstanding, and they have
thought of everything to make sure you have a nice stay. From the
moment we got there to the day we left. We couldn't have asked for
more.
The food and wine are outstanding. Fresh fish, incredible filets
and delicious appetizers...

Idyllic getaway
We had an excellent stay at Malonda. The staff was very, very courteous, including the owners Grace and Gerard. The view was always breathtaking. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The whole place looked excellent by any standards, but superior compared to anything else one can find in the country or region.
